Jeep 4.6 Cooling System

We have had quite a few customers ask about what keep this engine cool and here is a list of what you will need:

Areas of the country where there is not extreme heat

  • Stock Radiator will work in most cases (makes sure yours is in good shape)
  • Stock Clutch Fan
  • Stock 190 Degree Thermostat
  • Stock or High Volume water pump

Areas of the country where there is extreme heat

  • Griffin Aluminum Radiator
  • Stock Clutch Fan
  • 160-180 Degree Thermostat
  • High Volume water pump

Here is an email that we got from one of our customers in Arizona:

Chad switched back to clutch fan and shroud . Also put oem style aux e fan . 180 degree t stat. Griffin radiator. It runs between 180 and 190 all day long in the high temps of southern az. ALSO THE ENGINE IS RUNNING AMAZING. ABOUT 1000 MILES. I FIGURED THIS MAY HELP IF PEOPLE HIT YOU UP ON THIS SUBJECT. I BELIEVE THE E FANS WERE THE BIGGEST PART OF THE PROB. THE GRIFFIN RADIATOR DIDNT COOL WITH THE TRIPLE E FANS. THANX JIM
