LS1 crate engine from GolenWe have a new toy here at Golen Engine – say hello to our brand new SuperFlow SF-902S Engine Dynamometer! For those of you who may still be otherwise unfamiliar with such a device, a dynamometer is a machine whose primary purpose is the measurement of force. In the case of engines, this often translates into an expression of torque and overall engine power by concurrent measurements of both torque and RPM. You can check out a video here of an engine we recently ran on the SF-902S here in the shop.

This diverse and powerful machine is the latest and greatest tool at our disposal to further our goal of delivering nothing but the best and most powerful performance engines to our customers. Whether it’s a LS1 crate engine, a LS2 engine, LS3 engine or any other type of performance or racing engine – it doesn’t matter. This machine can test them all, and the in-depth data analysis provided from the dynamometer’s systems can tell us just about everything we could possibly want to know about each engine we analyze with it.

The SF-902S Engine Dynamometer is built to be as rugged and reliable as the LS1 crate engines and other racing engines we use it to fine tune to a state of automotive perfection. This machine is rated for a whopping 15,000 RPM, 1,500 horsepower and an incredible 1,200 lb-ft of torque! Extended periods of high-RPM testing are never going to be a problem with this thing around.

Just as important as the durability of the dyno’s construction is the data that it provides to us. The software package built into the SF-902S allow us to record, monitor and examine just about everything one could possibly want to know about the engine, all recorded and displayed in real time. Everything we need to help us craft the finest engines possible, right at our fingertips. You can’t ask for a much better tool than that!

So if you are looking for a high-performance racing engine, or perhaps you already have a LS2 engine that needs a little work, call us today at 1-800-591-9171, and let us help you get the engine you have always wanted!
